As the D.A.G. (Driver Assist Girl) of No. 152 I headed along to the Fathers Day Come and Try day with no desire to do the come and try sessions, however, as the morning progressed, I finally agreed that this would be the best opportunity for me to at least get a feel for the car and track without any pressure by participating in the parade laps in Andrew’s car.  After a little practice drive around the sheds, I took a deep breath and headed trackside to catch up to the course car for a few laps.  To my surprise, the clutch and gearbox were user friendly even for me.  Andrew convinced me to come for a ride on the hot laps as passenger and I found this very exhilarating although none of the pedals on my side of the car worked when I wanted them to.  As you can see, I like to be in control but here I was out of my comfort zone.

So, although I had a good time, I realised that this was definitely not for me.  Sorry guys, I will leave you to play on your own and be content to help out.
