For Alfas Running Trackside

By Competition Secretary

Welcome to the March competition report.  Not much to report this month.   Next month I will give a run down on the Peter Lehman Trophy Day and the Skills Enhancement Day at Mallala, 21st and 28th February respectively.  We are still waiting for March 28th which is round one for the season and our club is rostered on to do flagging duties, so could all those invaluable people who are available for flag and official duties, please let me know so that I can provide details to the MSCA.

We have a supply of plaque boards available for anyone who doesn’t have one and has plaques to put on it.

In this magazine are the new competition rules which the Competition Committee have adapted to suit our requirements in South Australia.  It is our aim to make the rules easier to understand than the old ones and keep everybody in basically the same groups which when translated, would roughly be standard is Type 1, modified is Type 2a, supermodified is Type 2b, and racing class is Type 3 with another category being Type 4 for cars that are very heavily modified specifically as a racing car.

Please complete an entrant declaration in line with the new rules and return it to me ASAP.

Please take the time to study the rules and learn how to apply them to be sure that your car qualifies for the category that you wish to compete in.

That’s all for now.  See your backside trackside.
