For Sale 1983 Alfa Romeo 2.0 Alfetta GTVLooking for a quick, but reluctant, sale as I am moving to a country posting for work and unfortunately I have neither time nor space for my pride and joy. I have owned the car now for about three years with the intention of turning it into a track car, but again, time and work have not been on my side.
Nice straight body, paint (Anthracite Grey), needs a little work due to clumsy people in car parks, and there’s a couple of points of rust creeping in to the bottom of the passenger door. All in all not too bad looking for a 28 year old car.
As far as I’m aware the car has always been garaged.
Car is shod with Bridgestone G-grid tyres (205/50/15) on Simmons B45 mags.
Odometer reads 43,000, so I’m guessing it’s closer to 143,000, and is registered thru to December.
Interior is very tidy, cream seats (front and back) with black carpet.
Leather sports steering wheel.
Quality Alpine CD/MP3 Player + Amp with 6” Sony Explode speakers.
Engine - 2.0 Litre Twin Cam 4 cylinder with 2 x 2 Dellorto Carbs.
New alternator and starter motor
Lovingly serviced and tuned by Italservice.
Drivetrain & Suspension -gearbox has good synchros, except for second gear which requires a delicate touch.
Suspension is a little tired, but, the plan had been to replace to whole lot anyway.

FOR SALE 1984 Alfetta GTV Road / Sprint CarEngine - extensive work done, including 711 Pace Camshafts, larger valves, upgraded valve springs, cylinder head modification (10 to 1 compression), balanced crank, pistons, rods & lightened flywheel. Oil Cooler & Electric Fuel Pump, light weight electric engine fan, lightweight alternator.
Suspension - upgraded with 30 mm Torsion Bars, modified front uprights and watts link, 180lbs rear springs, Koni’s (revalved to suit upgrades) front & rear, longer bolts on lower wishbone to allow more camber adjustment.
Brakes – Fronts have been upgraded to the 4 pot Volvo Calipers and 164 Vented & Slotted Rotors, Braided Brake Hoses front & rear and a Tilton adjustable brake bias valve. Master cylinder upgraded to 164 model.
Diff & Gearbox - Close ratio gearbox with modified links to shorten throw limited slip diff with 4.56 ratio, upgraded clutch.
Exhaust – Big Bore extractors with custom system
Safety – Half Roll Cage, 5 point FIA approved Harness, battery relocated to the boot.
The car is still road registered (WKT006) and very capable of being driven to the track. There is not much left to do, just jump in and drive it.
